This Privacy Policy explains how Fast Taxi handles personal information through Fast Taxi User, Fast Taxi Driver, and the Fast Taxi website. It applies to customer bookings, driver services, trip tracking, payments, wallets, and support.

Account and Profile Information

We collect information provided when you register or use our services, such as your name, mobile number, email address, and profile photograph, where provided.

Driver and Vehicle Information

For driver registration and verification, we collect submitted driver and vehicle details. These may include identity documents, driving licence, vehicle registration, insurance, vehicle photographs, and other documents required for the service.

Booking and Trip Information

We collect pickup and drop-off addresses, selected stops, booking dates and times, service type, route, distance, duration, waiting time, trip status, fare, ratings, and offers or rewards associated with bookings.

Payments and Wallet Information

We process payment method, transaction references, payment status, wallet transactions, driver earnings, subscriptions, and reward information needed to operate the service. Where online payment is available, the payment provider processes the information needed for that payment.

Device and Technical Information

Our apps and service providers may process device and app information, notification tokens, network information, usage information, and diagnostic data to deliver notifications, maintain the service, and investigate technical problems.

Support Information

We process messages, attachments, complaints, and other information you submit through customer support or related service features.

2. How We Use Location Information

Fast Taxi User

With your permission, Fast Taxi User uses your device location to help identify your pickup point and support location-based booking features. Pickup, destination, and stop locations entered by you are also processed to provide the trip.

Fast Taxi Driver

Relevant driver location is shown to the customer assigned to the trip and used by Fast Taxi to manage bookings and support trip operations.

Fast Taxi does not sell location information or use it for location-based advertising. You may manage location permissions in your device settings. Disabling required permissions may prevent location-based features from working.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Register and authenticate customers and drivers.
• Verify driver and vehicle information.
• Arrange bookings and connect customers with drivers.
• Display trip status and relevant driver location.
• Calculate fares, distance, duration, and waiting charges.
• Manage payments, wallets, earnings, subscriptions, and rewards.
• Send booking updates and service notifications.
• Respond to support requests and complaints.
• Investigate misuse, fraud, and service disputes.
• Maintain and improve service reliability.

4. Information Sharing

• Customers and drivers: We share information needed for the assigned trip, including pickup and destination, relevant contact information, driver and vehicle details, and trip location.
• Service providers: Providers supporting hosting, maps, route calculation, notifications, authentication, diagnostics, and payment processing may process information needed for their services. Our apps use Google Maps and Firebase services for applicable features.
• Legal and safety purposes: Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to respond to valid legal requests, investigate fraud, or address service-related safety concerns.

We do not sell personal or sensitive user information.

5. App Permissions

Depending on the app and feature used, permissions may include:

• Location: Pickup assistance, nearby bookings, and trip tracking.
• Background location: Driver availability and active trip tracking when Fast Taxi Driver is in the background.
• Notifications: Booking requests, trip updates, and service alerts.
• Camera or selected photos/files: Profile images, verification documents, and support attachments you choose to submit.
• Microphone: Voice communication when you use in-app calling.

Permissions can be managed through your device settings. Some features require the corresponding permission to operate.

6. How We Protect Your Information

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, and loss. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for the purposes described in this policy, including providing accounts and services, maintaining transaction records, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable legal obligations.

When information is no longer required for these purposes, it is deleted or anonymised. Certain transaction, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute records may need to be retained after account deletion. You may contact us for information about retention applicable to your records.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Customers and drivers can request deletion of their Fast Taxi account and associated personal information using the contact details below. You do not need to log in to the app to submit an email request.

1. Email Book@fasttaxi.in with the subject Fast Taxi Account Deletion Request.
2. Include your registered mobile number and specify whether your account is for Fast Taxi User or Fast Taxi Driver.
3. We may verify account ownership before processing the request. Do not send your password or OTP by email.

Account deletion includes deletion of associated personal information, except records that must be retained for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. Where retention is necessary, we will explain the applicable reason when handling your request.
